⭐︎ダイヤモンドは、4月の誕生石として世界中で知られている宝石です。宝石の中でも最も硬い鉱物として知られ、その強さと輝きから、永遠の象徴として古くから人々に愛されてきました。その名前は、ギリシャ語で「征服されない」「屈しない」を意味する adamas に由来しています。どんなものにも傷つけられないほどの硬さを持つことから、その名が与えられました。和名では「金剛石（こんごうせき）」と呼ばれています。
ダイヤモンドの宝石言葉は「永遠の愛」「純潔」「不変」。その強く澄んだ輝きは、揺るがない想いの象徴として、婚約指輪など大切な節目のジュエリーにも選ばれてきました。
