1900年代頃に作られたとみられるフランスのフィリグリー細工のアンティークネックレス。レースのような繊細な美しさ、ゴールドボールと金線細工で仕立てられた蝶のモチーフは、羽の模様となる部分の表裏にミルグレインが施されています。ミルグレインとは「千の粒」を意味するラテン語に由来を持ち、永遠、繁栄、幸福が長く続くようにという願いが込められた、昔から愛されている技法です。蝶のモチーフは少しずつグラデーションとなって連なり、引き輪へつながるチェーン部分にも連続したデザインの装飾が施されています。アンティークならではの統一感のある、贅沢な一品です。
