この網目状の石枠は、古くはヨーロッパのフィリグリー（金線細工）に起源を持ち、「宝石を守り、支える」という思想のもと発展してきた装飾表現です。
日本においても昭和中期以降、西洋技法と、組紐や籠細工に通じる“包み・編み・繋ぐ”という和の感性が融合し、このような独自性の高い石枠デザインが数多く制作されました。
イエローゴールドの温かみのある地金は綱模様に、ホワイトゴールドのプレーンな金線が、その間を縫うように巡り、アメシストにより一層華を添えます。

This mesh-like stone setting has its origins in ancient European filigree (gold wirework) and is a decorative expression that developed based on the idea of “protecting and supporting gemstones.”
In Japan, since the mid-Showa period, Western techniques have been fused with the Japanese sensibility of “wrapping, weaving, and connecting,” which is also found in kumihimo braiding and basketry, resulting in the creation of many unique stone setting designs.
The warm yellow gold base metal forms a rope pattern, while plain white gold wires weave through it, adding even more splendor to the amethyst.
